Who We Are

 

ACT For Today is an affiliation of licensed Catholic psychotherapists  whose purpose is to serve the psychological, emotional, relational, and spiritual needs of the People of God in the context of psychotherapy rooted in Gospel values and the Catholic community.  ACT For Today offers a variety of educational, therapeutic, and spiritual growth ministries:

    Individual, couple, family, and group psychotherapy
    Preparation for the Sacrament of Matrimony
    Spiritual Direction by qualified directors
    Workshops and seminars on relevant topics


ACT For Today is a Parish based ministry, directed and operated by Dr. Seishas, centered at St. Joseph Catholic Community in Elk Grove, CA, and serving the needs of the greater Sacramento Diocese.  While not an official functionary of the Catholic Church, this association privately arranges and contracts with individual pastors to provide its various ministries at the parish site for a reduced sliding scale fee.
